Pink Stumps Day Update
The College held its Annual Pink Stumps Day Fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation during Week 4, as you would all be aware. Thank you very much to Year 10 student Lara Worth for writing a wonderful piece to share with you all in our last edition of the newsletter. Since then, we have finalised our fundraising tally. We set a target for $2,500 and as a community we were able to surpass this target as we raised $3,000. This is an amazing result and could only have been achieved with the support of our community. This also brings our overall total that we have raised for the McGrath Foundation to over $28,000 since 2014.
District and Regional Trials
In other sporting news, we have had many of our students continue to strive towards their sporting goals as they attend District and Regional trials for their chosen sports. Our College has had a healthy representation of our students attending these trials and earning selection which is great to see.
2024 QISSN and Confro Teams
Our QISSN and Confro teams for 2024 are beginning their preparations for their Townsville adventure this year in June. Both teams will be training in the lead up to QISSN and Confro as well as, participating in the Darling Downs Schools Competitions during Term 2 as preparation. We are also looking forward to the upcoming Mercy Shield trip to Roma in the beginning of Term 2. Our teams are searching for local businesses to support them through sponsorship to help offset some costs to travel to Townsville, so if you or a local business would be interested in sponsoring, please contact me via email Thomas.Duggan@twb.catholic.edu.au
