College Advisory Council (CAC)
Meetings
The Assumption College Advisory Council meets 6-8 times during the year.
Purpose of the Assumption College Advisory Council
The Executive Director: Catholic Schools has responsibility for the strategic direction and oversight of the operation and management of Toowoomba Catholic schools, including Assumption College. Clear lines of authority, reporting and delegation from the Bishop of Toowoomba through the Executive Director: Catholic Schools delegate the day to day operational management of Assumption College to its principal.
The Assumption College Advisory Council provides a crucial point of connection between the wider school community and school leaders. While the Assumption College Advisory Council does not have governance responsibility or decision-making authority, it supports the principal and school leadership and provides an important connection to the parish and school community.
Whilst the Assumption College Advisory Council is not a governing body its role is to support the overall governance of the system as it gives consideration to, and advice on, important school matters in order to support the principal and the strategic interest of the school.
