Non State Schools Transport Assistance Scheme (NSSTAS)
This is a reminder to apply for financial assistance by 31 May 2025.
Please visit https://www.schooltransport.com.au to check if you are eligible, and to find further information and helpful links for parents/guardians.
The Non State Schools Transport Assistance Scheme (NSSTAS) provides financial assistance for families transporting students to non-state schools in Queensland.
The Non State Schools Transport Assistance Scheme is a joint initiative of the Queensland Catholic Education Commission (QCEC) and Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ) and is funded by the Queensland Government.
Funds are limited and the level of assistance provided to eligible applicants depends on the program funds available in the relevant semester. To ensure our college community receives this support, we provide the associated information for this scheme.
The scheme has two programs:
1. Bus Fare Assistance: assisting families who pay more than the weekly threshold in bus or ferry fares.
2. Students with Disability: supporting students with a disability who have demonstrably different transport needs from other students of the same age.
Applications for Semester 1, 2025 open on 1 May 2025 and close on 31 May 2025. To learn more about the scheme, including eligibility for both programs, visit https://www.schooltransport.com.au.
