Acting Principal's Message
By Mrs Anna Hardy, Acting Principal
Busy time of the term
It is hard to believe that we are over half way through Term 2. The days, weeks and months at the College go so quickly and is it any wonder with the amount of acitivites and events that have been happening.
There have been so many wonderful experiences across all portfolios of the College, academic, cultural, spiritual and sporting over the last two weeks that our students have had the opportunity to be involved in.
The First Nations Camp in the Bunya Mountains, Border Eisteddfod in Stanthorpe, Broncos Cup Gala days in Goondiwindi and Warwick, State of Origin Dress up and fundraiser day, Year 12 Academic Interviews and a QPAC excursion.
Along with the busyness of teaching and learning in the classroom at the assessment end of a semester. It is heartening to see so many students take advantage of these opportunities that are offered to enrich their time at the College and we thank our staff for their involvement in organising and contributing often their own time to attend these events.
For the next two weeks the Executive Leadership Team of the College will consist of;
- Anna Hardy (Acting Principal)
- Julie Collins (Acting Deputy Principal – Pastoral/Wellbeing and Organisation)
- Patrick Donelly (Assistant Principal – Mission and Identity)
- Scott Clegg (Business Manager)
- Megan Lawler (Acting Assistant Principal – Curriculum)
- Kimberley Nelson (Principal’s Personal Assistant)
I thank Julie and Megan for their willingness to assist the leadership team and step into roles to support the College at this time.
In other staffing news, we farewelled Ms Morgan Charles (First Nations Officer), we wish her the best in her new role. We are still awaiting the arrival of our Mathematics teacher but can announce that she will be with us to start Term 3.
I would like to wish the Year 10 students all the very best for their upcoming work experience and we look forward to hearing about their time in the various businesses and industries.
Year 12 Unit 3 Report cards will be issued via Sentral in Week 8. Year 7-11 Semester Report cards will be issued by the end of Week 10.
Year 10 students and their parents are encouraged to attend the Year 11 Information Night on Tuesday, 10 June 2025 at 6:00 pm . This night will discuss not only 2026 subject selections but the selections for Year 10 Semester 2 2025. Year 10 students will be selecting the Mathematics and English they will be completing for next semester.
May our Mother Mary grant her blessings upon our College Community.
