Welcome to term 3 in the library.
Our Jumpers and Jazz display. This year the theme is connect. We make connections in many different ways at Assumption.
Everyone at school was invited to write or draw how/why they feel connected. The responses have been linked together to make one long chain, just as we are joined together through our school community.
Some very thoughtful responses have been sent back including teachers, friends, participation in religion and other subjects, extracurricular activities, sport and lunch time ??(hanging with friends).
The connections you make through relationships, places, and social activities can build a safety net for your physical and mental health. Healthy connections are known to lower levels of anxiety and depression, and raise self-esteem. (https://headtohealth.gov.au/meaningful-life/connectedness)
Thanks to the students who have also had fun construction the chain and assembling the display.
